WCPA gets involved in wide-ranging government agency related issues as a means of providing members with excellence in representation and influence of important issues.

Examples include representation of WCPA at every industry related agency sponsored advisory committee including the NRCS State Technical Advisory Committee and all rule related advisory committees sponsored by Department of Agriculture, negotiating the adoption of the Environmental Partners Program from DATCP, representation on the Agricultural Chemical Cleanup Council, working with DOT regarding increased fall harvest weight allowances, working with Department of Revenue to identify ways to recognize additional equipment items for sales tax exemption, working with Wisconsin Homeland Security to develop an effective early warning announcement system for Ag Retailers and other associates, and many other examples.
