Legislative Activities

The Wisconsin Crop Production Association (WCPA) is committed to the introduction, support and passage of legislation that has potential for a positive impact to our collective membership and only advances and/or supports those activities that are in line with the entire membership (Manufacturers, Distributors, and Retailers). WCPA employs a registered lobbyist – Mike Turner, the Association’s Executive Director who oversees legislative activities and WCPA’s Legislative Committee. Mike is also engaged in support of additional state and federal agricultural politics as outlined below.

WCPA is fully engaged in the Wisconsin Agricultural Coalition and provides support to broad legislative priorities that are favorable to the health and well being of agriculture in Wisconsin without compromising the integrity of WCPA policy positions. The Agricultural Coalition is composed of representation from the following organizations:

Federal legislation is also supported through participation with the American Retail Association, the Fertilizer Institute, and Crop Life America.
